Certain Owls like to recite from Shakespeare at taverns. A special perch is afforded them, known as a bar dowel. Thus the Bard Owl who was a Barred Owl recanted his lines from the bar dowel. When such an owl is forbidden to return to such an establishment he can be referred to as a barred Barred Bard owl.
He does have a favorite statue. It's of a sheep. A ewe, really. made of yew wood, by hand. the other day someone asked him what sort of color this sheep was. Delighted, our owl replied - Are you asking me the hue of this hewn ewe of yew?
